It is the kickoff to the holiday season! I think the chill that November brings and the anticipation of the double holiday period makes for my favorite time of year. It is cold, even in Northern California, so a good fall cocktail is in order. What can be better than the thought of Thanksgiving, the only acceptable day of the year to eat multiple pieces of pie, that concludes (once the dishes are done) with a series of terrible yet wonderful Hallmark holiday movies and a glass of cab. I mean, does that get any better?
So cheers to shorter days, cooler nights, and Christmas decorations way too early. But I think this is 2020 – go for it. Hang your lights now and enjoy! This is a great drink with all the seasonal flavors mixed together.
Ingredients
Makes 1 drink
2+ ounces vodka (I mean it is 2020, right? Sheltering is for real coming back to be a thing - 2 ounces seems like a rookie drink at this point. Just sayin’.)
1 ounce Cran-Apple juice
1/4 ounce fresh lime juice
Ginger beer, to top
Handful of cranberries (for garnish)
Apple slices (for garnish)
Preparation
Pour the first 3 ingredients into a collins glass or mule mug filled with ice, and stir briefly to combine.
Top with ginger beer.
Garnish with fresh cranberries and apple slices.
LOOKS DELICIOUS.........I THINK I HAVE ALL THE INGREDIENTS!
You actually make the rest of 2020 sound like fun.

Apple Cranberry Moscow Mule -- which ingredient qualifies it for a mule??
I'm thinking .... 2 drinks and I'll be sheltered on the sofa all night...and dreaming of Moscow.
