We are knee deep into the fall and it is time to have a sip of Scotch! I do find Scotch to be an acquired taste and the apple brandy and Elderflower make this drink quite yummy and will take the late autumn chill out of you. I am a Jersey girl, so I used Laird's Applejack. Time to cozy up.
For one drink:
Ingredients
2 ounces blended Scotch whisky
1 ounce apple brandy
1/4 oz St~Germain Elderflower Liqueur
2 dashes orange bitters
1 large wide lemon peel for garnish
Preparation
Combine the Scotch, apply brandy, St. Germain, and bitters in a mixing glass half-filled with ice. Stire until chilled and properly diluted, about 20 seconds. Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Garnish with the lemon – but first rub the rim of the glass with it and then drape on top. Cheers!
