Sheltering is over! Try an Aspen Smash!
I do believe our sheltering days have ended! Therefore, it might just be time to move the CaliforniaShelterin blog along to a new chapter as well.
As many of you know, I have many areas of interests – I like cooking and I really like cocktails. I like parties and I love planning events. I like skiing and I love après ski. So why not wed all these loves together.
So here it goes… hope you will follow along in the months ahead. I will of course continue to cover food, especially for entertaining mountain style (and cooking hacks so you can ski AND entertain)! But I will also cover ski related gifts, ski gear, ski apparel, mountain hacks, ski resorts, and of course après ski COCKTAILS!
Speaking of cocktails, try this refreshing whiskey smash to begin your maskless summer. This comes from Element 47, the restaurant (aptly named with a nod to the silver mine history in the area) in The Little Nell at the base of Aspen. I like to add a splash of club soda to it as well.
