Lillet Winter Thyme Cocktail
Oh boy Winter Storm Kenan is hitting hard! A nor’easter is spinning around New England, therefore it is time for another cocktail to keep us warm and cozy. And for those of you on the west, you should support our east coast friends and raise a glass.
This is a drink that includes Lillet - a French aromatized aperitif wine made with a blend of Bordeaux grapes and fortified with a blend of citrus liqueurs. This cocktail is made with Lillet Blanc, made with Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon grapes. Very tasty and there are a lot of recipes out there for Lillet Blanc in spritzs - meaning there are lots of reasons to add this to your liquor cabinet repertoire. However this is not a hot summer night, is it, so here is a Winter cocktail…. with a little pear juice, some cinnamon, and garnished as festive as you like.
Makes one drink.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 ounces Lillet Blanc
1 1/2 ounces pear juice
1/2 ounce cinnamon syrup (see note)

Cinnamon Sticks
Pear Slices
Thyme
Preparation:
Fill a glass with ice and add all ingredients up to the tonic water and stir.

Note:
For the cinnamon syrup, heat up 1:1 water and sugar in a small pot and drop in a cinnamon stick or two.
